The Resilient Teen
Wellness coaching for teens managing stress, anxiety, and the challenges of growing up.
The teen years bring constant change. School, friendships, sports, social media, family expectations, changing bodies, and growing independence can all take a toll on mental and physical well-being.
The Resilient Teen is a 12-week coaching experience designed to help teens better understand themselves, develop healthy anxiety-management skills, and build lifelong habits that support emotional and physical health.
12 Weeks • Weekly 1:1 Coaching • $195/week
The teen years don't come with a guidebook.
Between school, friendships, activities, family life, and growing independence, teens are learning to manage a lot at once.
It's not uncommon for stress and anxiety to become part of that experience.
The Resilient Teen gives adolescents a dedicated space to pause, reflect, ask questions, and develop healthy ways to respond to life's challenges.
I combine my experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Primary Care Mental Health Specialist with personalized wellness coaching to help teens better understand themselves and build skills they'll continue using long after the program ends.

How We'll Work Together
There isn't a single solution for chronic stress or anxiety.
Coaching combines education, skill-building, and personalized guidance to help you make changes that fit your life.
Each plan is created to speak directly to your goals, but these are some of the approaches that may be incorporated throughout our work together.
-
Stress affects far more than emotions. It influences sleep, energy, focus, digestion, and the way we respond to everyday challenges.
Understanding how your nervous system works provides the foundation for everything that follows.
What this may include:
Learning how the stress response affects the brain and body
Identifying personal stress patterns and triggers
Recognizing signs of nervous system dysregulation
Understanding the connection between physical and emotional symptoms
Building awareness before practicing regulation strategies
-
Lasting change begins with understanding your current habits.
We'll identify the daily patterns that may be supporting—or working against—your health goals.
Areas we may explore:
Nutrition and eating habits
Sleep quality and daily energy
Physical activity and movement
Work, family, and lifestyle demands
Environmental factors that contribute to stress
-
Nutrition plays an important role in energy, mood, concentration, and overall health.
Rather than following restrictive rules, the focus is on building realistic eating patterns that support both physical and emotional well-being.
Topics may include:
Blood sugar balance and sustained energy
Meal planning for busy schedules
Nutrient-dense food choices
Hydration and daily habits
Practical strategies that fit your lifestyle
Supplement recommendations when appropriate
-
Thought patterns influence the way we experience stress.
Coaching helps bring those patterns into awareness so they can be examined, challenged, and gradually reshaped.
Skills may include:
Identifying automatic thought patterns
Recognizing cognitive distortions
Reframing unhelpful thinking
Developing healthier coping responses
Applying new strategies in everyday situations
-
Stress is experienced in both the mind and the body.
Learning to recognize physical signs of stress creates opportunities to respond differently.
Practices may include:
Breathing techniques
Grounding exercises
Mindfulness practices
Somatic awareness exercises
Relaxation and nervous system regulation strategies
-
Quality sleep supports nearly every aspect of health.
Small improvements in daily routines can have a meaningful impact on recovery and resilience.
Areas of focus may include:
Healthy sleep routines
Evening habits that support restorative sleep
Stress management before bedtime
Recovery throughout the day
Creating realistic routines that fit your schedule
-
Most people already know what they "should" do. Information is not the problem.
The challenge is making those habits realistic enough to maintain.
Together we'll focus on:
Building sustainable routines
Breaking goals into manageable steps
Removing barriers to consistency
Tracking progress over time
Adjusting strategies as life changes
-
Goals are more likely to stick when they reflect what matters most to you.
Coaching begins with understanding your priorities before deciding what success looks like.
This process may include:
Clarifying personal values
Setting meaningful goals
Identifying motivations for change
Creating realistic expectations
Measuring progress in ways that matter to you
-
Real change happens between sessions.
Coaching provides structure, guidance, and opportunities to reflect on what's working so adjustments can be made along the way.
Support may include:
Weekly coaching sessions
Progress reviews
Reflection exercises
Habit tracking
Problem-solving when obstacles arise
Celebrating meaningful progress
Common Questions
How involved are parents?
Parents play an important role in supporting their teens' progress, while also allowing space for the teens to develop confidence and independence.
Michelle provides parent guidance and regular updates on overall goals and progress while maintaining an environment where teens feel comfortable discussing everyday challenges openly.
What ages do you work with?
The Resilient Teen program is designed for ages 13–19.
If you're unsure whether coaching is the right fit for your teen, a Discovery Call is a great place to ask questions and discuss your family's needs.
What if my teen is hesitant about coaching?
That's completely normal.
Many teens are unsure what to expect at first. Michelle takes a relaxed, conversational approach that focuses on building trust before introducing new skills. Coaching is collaborative, not lecture-based, and moves at a pace that feels comfortable for each teen.
Is coaching a replacement for therapy?
No.
Coaching is designed to help teens build practical skills for managing stress, anxiety, emotions, and healthy habits. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
If your teen is already working with a therapist, coaching can often provide additional support by reinforcing healthy routines and practicing the skills they're learning.
How is progress shared with parents?
Parents receive regular updates about overall goals, growth, and areas of focus while respecting the trust that's essential to the coaching relationship.
The exact level of communication depends on your teen's age, developmental needs, and family preferences. If safety concerns ever arise, parents are informed immediately.
